1956 - 2017
Frank worked in the safety, health and environmental profession for 34 years. His areas of expertise included hazardous waste management permitting, remediation, oilfield and hazardous materials transportation as well as health and safety. In 1980 he began working in the engineering department as an environmental engineer for Environmental Protection Corporation for 6 years before assuming the position of Central California Regional Manager for a spill response/environmental remediation firm. In 1986 Frank helped start Kern Environmental Service where he became Division Manager until transferring to the Health Safety & Environmental Manager for KVS Transportation in 1999. He served in this capacity until the company was purchased in 2013. In early 2014 he was invited to join CRACO to develop and manage their safety and compliance programs. Frank held a BS in Environmental Planning and Management from the University of California, Davis (1979), was a Certified Safety Professional and a former California Registered Environmental Assessor. Frank served on the California Waste Association board of directors from 1996-1998. He was a professional member of the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) joining in 1999 and served as Chapter Secretary between 2003 and 2017. Frank completed the ASSE Executive Program in Safety Management and was recipient of the 2006-2007 ASSE Bakersfield Chapter Safety Professional of the Year Award.
Frank is survived by his wife Darlene, his son Chad, daughter in-law Casey, daughter Chelsea, son in-law David, and grandchildren Cheyenne, Colton, Cannon, Carson, Jagger and Carolyn.
He will be dearly missed by all.
